Good for removing scratches from stainless steel appliances,
We had a stainless steel refrigerator, just a few years old, with many small scratches on the surface, particularly around the handle where rings might touch the surface. Several attempts at removing the scratches using other techniques and products failed. I applied the rubbing compound, rubbing with the grain of the stainless steel, and successfully removed all but the deepest scratches. The refrigerator looks like new.

|Fantastic Product to Reduce Scratches,
On my way to work, I hit a flying carpet (literally, a 10×10 carpet remnant flew off of a pickup truck, and struck my car, dragging along my hood at 85 miles an hour).
The scrapes in the clear coat of my black BMW were sickening. My coworkers immediately noticed the scratches and asked me what had happened. I was ready to go to a body shop, when I decided to look for a paint cleaner / swirl reducer.
I found Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound and gave it a try. Using a microfiber bonnet, I used a buffer to apply it, and buffed it off by hand using a terry cloth towel. I did two applications, and finished it off with McGuire’s carnuba wax.
If you inspect for the marks, you can still see them, but they are hardly noticeable. My car looks fine again.
I have never used anything but McGuire’s on my car, but I am now a believer in Turtle Wax! This is a great product that saved me a lot of money!
