Got this for my daughter’s car compressor to replace her smashed on. The fuse is a little on the smallish size but we have a bigger one just in case it blows? Obviously the cigar lighter is fused but I assume they put a smallish fuse in for ipods and delicate things.

one of the issues is to correctly wire up your plug. If correct should work or blow fuse.

2nd issue is mine had a 5 amp fuse and the small air compressor I was replacing the is rated for 8 amps. Now I will put in the smallest fuse or a 10 amp fuse later. the other air compressor i am going to repair, is rated for a 20 amp fuse and I am not sure if I will fry the 2nd one or not. Time will tell.

The first one has worked but I have not used it for an extended amount of time (it usually took 8-10 minutes to air my car tire to 34 psi). so far so good.

Wish the amp size was show in ad and instruction to wire up were better.

Replacement price of new auto car compression makes this a good value and worth effort.

I used this to repair an air compressor. I originally bought a replacement plug from a local auto parts, and it got melted by the current draw.

When I first used this plug, it acted “dead” because the fuse blew instantly. I think the provided fuse was only 1 or 2 amps, which is not nearly enough for an air compressor. I bought some 20 amp fuses locally, and it has been working fine for a few months now.

I was a little concerned because the wire pigtail was slightly lighter gauge than the compressor cord, but is has not been an issue thus far. The green LED indicator is nice because you can tell if the socket has power.

A good deal for the money, but it should come with a heavier fuse to match it’s current handling capability.

I’m using this in conjunction with a RoadPro RPSL-7000 AC to DC 6 Amp Power Converter that I bought on Amazon to power a car stereo amplifier from a wall outlet. I crimped the power and ground leads from the amp to the leads on this item and everything worked fine. Note that there is a fuse installed in this item that is probably only rated at 2 or 3 amps, so if you need to draw more current through it, like I do, then you will need to replace the fuse with a higher amperage fuse, but that’s readily available at Home Depot and plently of other places. So far, no problems.

This has saved me several times — much easier to replace the fuse in this than in the truck — so when I do dumb things and overload it the fuse in the plug blows and not the truck. I like it.

After calling the dealer, used part places and searching trough several parts pages, I remembered that Amazon has absolutely everything.

With some hesitation, I went ahead and ordered the light. Excellent quality, perfect fit, arrived in 3 days and it took 2 minutes to install.

    100% recommend it.

I bought this to go on my 2002 Denali. It does work however, the rubber piece that was on my Denali does not fit this light. It fits loosely. Just be aware that the rubber piece is not going to fit the same.

UPDATE***There are a few bulbs in the middle that have already stopped working. Overall it was good for the price but I would have hoped that it would have lasted longer. The light I just replaced lasted 8 years.

Most reviews let you know that the Dorman 923-203 is a good replacement for the standard 3rd brake light on the Tahoe and other GM vehicles. My only disagreement with that is in the area of the wire pigtail supplied with the light. The original GM light has a rubber grommet that provides a water/weather tight seal going into the body and the Dorman pigtail has a poor excuse for the same grommet. Not only did it not seal, but it was so loose, I re-used the original pigtail. The only problem with using the original pigtail is that the electrical plug has a really tight fit with the Dorman light and almost doesn’t snap into place. I have only had it 1 week so I can’t give any estimate on how long it will last. Definitely less expensive than the dealership replacement ($270).

This High Mounted Brake Light is a lower cost replacement for the OEM factory part. The fit and finish of the Brake Lamp was very good. It was easy to install, and is working fine.

This was the first time I’ve had something I ordered through Amazon, arrive damaged. The box was partially crushed during shipping. I notified Amazon, and another Brake Light was shipped immediately. The replacement arrived quickly. It was very easy to ship the crushed part back to Amazon, with the free return shipping label they provide. I just resealed the original package, put the free shipping label on, and left it at my mail box for the postman.
