  • Built-in capacitor element stores & delivers a much more powerful spark, providing for more complete combustion
  • Up into 12% more horsepower & torque allows for higher towing capacity & overall power
  • More precise & efficient combustion with fine-wire electrode
  • Better throttle response, quicker ignition & improved cold starts
  • A lifetime limited warranty

Pulstar plugs are the first real breakthrough in spark plug technology in over 120 years. They look & fit like spark plugs but contain an integrated electrical device called a capacitor. The capacitor peaks the energy of the spark plug in much the same way that a camera flash intensifies light. Instead of just 50 watts of peak power typical of all other spark plugs, Pulstar plugs generate up into 1 million watts of ignition power. The resulting robust spark ignites fuel more efficiently liberating more torque from the engine. Independent testing has validated torque gains of up into 12 % with improvement in throttle response, & reduced CO2. I have had great results from the Pulstar plugs. I recently (Spring 2010) installed them in my 92′ Lexus ES300 as well as in my 92′ Jeep Wrangler 4 cylinder. In both vehicles I have experienced fuel economy gains of approximately 10%. The Lexus now averages 23mpg in the city which I think is pretty good for a 18 year old 6 cylinder engine. Also, I averaged 23 mpg on the highway for the Jeep during a recent long road trip. Both vehicles now seem to idle more smoothly. My father-in-law has had similar improvements in his 2002 Honda Civic (I think he now averages 37mpg). Overall I am very happy with these plugs.

I just got these Iridium plugs in my 2006 Saab 9-3, and I’m thoroughly pleased! I’ve seen a slight increase in fuel economy, but I haven’t had time to measure the real result yet. The best part was definitely the power. It has greatly improved my agility, torque and get up and go. Plus, this increase in power doesn’t affect the environment. It actually burns the fuel more efficiently so I still get to be more green! I highly recommend – a worthwhile product. It was easy to install too (20 minutes).

I have had these for 2 weeks now. I installed them on my 2006 Jetta 2.5L. My average MPG has gone from 23 to 28 in the very little I have driven in the past 2 weeks. I think there may be a slight performance increase but I’m not sure yet. The concept is solid, though there is a lot of skepticism about these, do know that there are 2 versions of these. There is the OLD version which retails for about $24, and the new which is around $12. The old models are troublesome so be sure to get the new ones. With PROPER GAPPING, and experienced installation, they should work flawlessly.

When you put this in your bike it will not run right at first. If you have a computer on board to ajust the fuel intake just ride the bike for about 30 min and it will ajust it for you. If like me you have a carberator then you will need to richen (increase) fuel flow. I have a 101 indian Cheaf motor. Its 101 because of the numerous differant things done to the motor and it has a single fire ignistion with a Holly two barrow carb. After tweeking the flow (richer) it is instantly noticable. The throutal is very responsive. They say it increases fuel economy and with increasing fuel flow that seems counterproductive. But it takes less throutal to do the same speed as befor for my bike. Have not put it on a dino to get numbers but it is noticabaly quicker. My bike has well over 100hp at tire and had become boring to me after riding it for years. Just adding the plugs made my eyes get big again. It is definitly the least exspinsive way to add horsepower to the bike.

This product is not worth the metal it’s made out of. Sure, the concept sounds great and is probabally sound. I did notice a small improvement in throttle response, that’s it.

The real problem with theese plugs is that the ceramic housing cracks and falls apart. Sometimes this happens on 1st install, sometimes on the road, sometimes a few plugs might not crack. When the porcelain shatters during install/removal, you can wind up with little porcelain bits falling into the combustion chamber! Yikes!

The company did acknowledge some problems with their “first run” of production plugs and claims now that won’t happen anymore… For $12 or more per plug who wants to find out? I think the porcelain layer is just too thin and can’t take the hot/cold cycles and/or the torque of being seated into the engine. Too bad, I removed all of the plugs and went with platinum OEM plugs. Never seen another spark plug fall apart like this one LOL!
